Back In Town

Haiku For Mochizuki

One Fine Morning

Some of my work was featured in an October 2003 Student Photojournalism Show and Sale at San Jose City College's new Tech Center on Bascom and Moorpark.

I was the Editor-In-Chief of the San Jose City College Times newspaper during the Spring 2003 semester. Our newspaper won 9 JACC awards for our work that semester. We won two Honorable Mentions the previous semester.

I won a first prize for an essay and photographs of the September 2002 San Francisco Peace March and Rally titled, Up to 200,000 March for Peace in the Bay Area.

I contributed to a 4th-place prize for a photo story and essay, The Land of the Free And the Home of the Brave which covered peace marches in San Francisco and San Jose and the "March in March" Community College budget protest in Sacramento, CA.

I was also listed with other staffers for a 3th place award for Page Layout, Tabloid for the same article.

I'm very proud of my staff. Take note that we're all still around and we've added some heavyweights to the team. Steve Scheit is in charge now and he's a lot tougher than I was.
